Indonesian officials say PNG soldiers used "excessive force" when they shot and killed an Indonesian fisherman and injured two others near the two countries' northern sea border.

The body of the 27-year-old fisherman, named as Mulydi, was on Thursday returned to family members in Indonesia's Papua province following Tuesday's incident.

The shootings occurred after a coastal border patrol of PNG soldiers and police chased a motorised canoe carrying 10 Indonesian fishermen allegedly fishing illegally in PNG waters.

He could of possibly be a fellow Melanesian of coarse we all know he wasn't Asian or Caucasian. We the people of PNG are to cowardly to stand up to these 2 superior races. That was terrible a hungery Paupa got killed just trying to get him something to eat or make extra money on the side. Since Indoneisa is suppressing them so much, when will this nightmare end for us?
