So within this past 2months , I've been through 5 cancelled flights - and at one point I had decided to go via ship - I was not alone on that either - a good number of the passengers on the ship also had took that router due to Air Niugini mishaps.... seriously there neeeds to be another domestic airline competitor... We seeing the good that Digicel has brought out of Telikom, why not look at same thing for the domestic sector.
ANyways complain as much as we can - but seriously at the mo - no choice - if the flight is cancelled, its cancelled!!! Don't u just get sick of hearing "Air Niugini regrets to ...." - that's at Jacksons, at some of our little airports in the outer areas... No one at the terminal means... No Flights!!!

Where is PX heading?
I think PX is not heading in the right direction, especially with its recent wet lease deals. It’s no longer the national airline Papua New Guinea was once proud off. Viva Macau B767 was here and gone, Icelandair B757 only did a few runs and spent the rest of its time idle at Jackson Airport for beautification, and now we have the Great White Shark Airways A310. Are we supposed to be advancing our wide body re-fleeting? Why revert back to the A310 which was done away with 10 years ago? When will we have our own wide body aircraft? – Still Negotiating, via email
Airlines PNG should cover all the domestic routes taken by Air Niugini so people can choose which airline they want to travel with and maybe get a cheaper deal too.
What about Air Link? I also heard that they were also operating from POM but am not sure about their destinations.
Having said all that I still like the smooth landing and taking off done by Air Niugini pilots. I do not get that on any other international flights I have been on. Quantas, Malaysian, Emirates and Air lufthansa airlines is worse when it comes to landing and taking off. I usually get air sick and can't help wondering where their pilots are trained.
Air Niugini is still first on my list, eventhough the services are not as good as it used to be.
