Computer Geeks,
If any of you have used Windows Vista, what is it like compared to Windows XP?

Yes, it is true. Windows Vista Operating System files ALONE occupies approximately 8-11GB of the HDD space.

8-11 GB is outragous but then again, there is a 1TB HDD that is soon to be released. It is already out but, not commercially viable yet. Sus is that it might be out during christmas at affordable prices to compliment vista.

yeah I would say vista has gone far fetched with all the gimicks of 3d effects etc....

simply put the hardware technology today is capable but comes at a very hefty price.

The serious issue being the FSB which lags at roughly 800mhz....compared to a processor of 3ghz....and I a memory that operates at roughly max 533mhz....the lag in this two does have a significant impact on the over system performance....

In addition, all the components have to being to sustain the high level of communication traffic demanded by the OS alone, especially the graphics driver....

I would suggest using vista in a standard mode rather than the advanced slick 3d mode if you do not have the sufficient hd components....

Nothing drastic compared to xp ratively same excerpt searching and connectivity enhancements to cater more for the wireless development.

quan --- cheers -- my two-bit comment
