Any of you know a a cheap (less the $150 Aus)Water Auditng book.

The required text is $200, like, in reality I'm going to pay that much for a book while I cant afford to breath at the moment.....

The content of the book should be about how to carry out a water Audit...

if you have read book concerning this issue then pleas list them,i will do a search for them.

thanks people

Wantok,

I've been using a book as reference title;

Water Auditing and Water Conservation: by J. Sturman (Editor), G. Ho (Editor), K. Mathew (Editor)

Got it from Amazon at US$150, may have gone up.

Another one is called;
Handbook of Hydrology - David R. Maidment - i've been using that frequently.

If your in Aus, should not be a problem purchasing from Amazon.

Cheers

Alternately, you can do a book search on Google Books.

UN database maybe a good place to start with regard to water quality, hydrology and point source contamination. The have case studies, facts figues, standard proceducers etc..

Check this site and you can move from there.
http://www.unesco.org/water/wwap/wwdr2/

Title: Water a Shared Responsibility: The United Nations World Water Development Report 2 (Paperback)

Just checked, it would be US$66, you could download that free from UN website.

Kolwan

that first book you mentioned is written by all 3 of my lecturers. That book is the result of the unit I am doing now at the university they are based at.

The funny thing is due to copy right laws the authors cant reproduce more then 1 chapter (photo copy) and since it has had approval from so many water bodies the price is through the roof and most of the students cant afford to buy that text. The Lecturers regret not getting a special deal for the students doing the unit this book is based for.

Thanks for the suggestion for the other book as well as the websites....will check them out......
