Bank South Pacific launched the acceptance of international visa cards for cash advances through its ATM network on Monday 21st May 2007. The visa card launch follows the recent launching of visa card transactions on its EFTPOS network in March 2007. BSP has recently expanded its operations into the pacific region and hence the visa card transactions facility has come at an eminent time to meet customer expectations.

Does this mean that I can take my Aussi Visa (ANZ) card and buy my mama's groceries at papindo Kainantu? They have BSP efftpos at that shop.
That would be great news if they do...

I had to literally go to Lae or Goroka to transfer money to bsp from ANZ.

Another thing that we could also look into for internet BSP and ANZ(VISA) customers is the possiblity of doing internet bank transfers? Can anyone check and let us know if there is such an option.

Westpac and ANZ has already done Internet Banking. It is us in PNG who is still behind the internet banking here but a few customers now are getting into the market.

However, ANZ, BSP and Westpac can do phone banking in PNG. BSP has yet to offer VISA Card while Westpac and ANZ have already done that for PNG customers.

All banks in PNG do have Internet Banking Services.
That includes, PNG, Westpac and ANZ
