There is a "Mars & Venus in the Bedroom" book (m)

At least I think that is what it is called. I had a bunch somewhere, but the ex really wasn't interested--in me that is!

But it all worked out int he end b/c I now have yummy contractor Kirk. I'll look at home tonight and see if I still have that book or anything else. If I do, do you want them?

Let me know.

I went on Amazon and ordered a few books. With Mother's Day*m

May 14 2006, 9:51 PM

it's been going great. DH took me out on a date (per my request) last night to a nice reastaurant (per his preference, i would have been happy with a stroll holding hands). He gave me perfume and jewelry (Mother's necklace with the 4 kids' birthstones and gender).

I skimmed over the books but I don't think he has opened one yet. We decided to go on a date every Saturday night, our jobs schedules permitting, so we can reconnect. Both our jobs have kept us so busy lately. It's a problem easily solved. Especially now, after almost 15 years of marriage, we seem to reconnect a lot faster than we did in the earlier years.

Funny, the kids were all very supportive of mom abd dad going on a date last night. They said that dad is the reason I am a mom...

Happy Mother's Day to all!

love,
Dessi

That's really nice!

I keep thinking "date night" is a good idea, but I have a hard time putting it into practice. I normally work at night after the kids go to bed, and while I don't have any work "scheduled" on weekend nights, sometimes I put things off earlier in the week or things get busy and then get stuck with work on a Friday night.

I know it's just a matter of making it a priority.

I hope he flips through a book or two for you, but it sounds like he did a nice job this weekend without one!

Lisa

I read one of the books I bought*m

June 8 2006, 12:25 AM

Shaunti Feldhahn's "For Women Only: What You Need To Know about the Inner Lives of Men".
It's good. I liked it b/c she did a survey and it revealed some interesting points of view. It was no huge revalation for me (I've been married almost 15 years and am raising 3 boys). I know how men are. The book reassured me in what I know about men, it almost reminded me and helped me focus and appreciate my man for who he is - a man created by God. It also helped explain why men are the way they are.

I just thought somebody might like a feedback on the book question.

love,
Dessi
