The report in the Post Courier for today (Business section)

ref:http://www.postcourier.com.pg

Ten percent of children tested in mt. Isa for exposure for heavy metals have shown blood lead levels above the recomended international limits, a queensland government study has found............etc.....etc.

Looks like the impact of mining on people and the evironment is having its rounds both here in PNG and Australia, only God knows where else.

Sounds like Greed is everywhere. I hope independent assessment teams really sue the heck out of those responsible. Can't wait for a class action to be taken by the group in Central to fix the norm now in PNG that Mining companies are doing with health and environmental concequence caused by negligence...I convinced now that government is condoning such actions. It all started with BCL, Ok Tedi, Ramu nickle etc...I hope people wakeup and start living reality.
