Christopher Kosbab's roots

by

Well, I've been in grad school the past 3 years, and somewhere along the line, the website went down (or at least my server did every time I tried to access it, maybe a case of Murphy's law). Now that life has forced me to slow down via a broken foot, I can think about things a bit more and get back to my projects from before we moved to California.

I am a Kosbab by marriage. I don't know much about my husband's father Herman Karl Kosbab, except that he was from the midwest and his second wife's name was Leah. Herman died in the Winter of 1998-99. I saw Herman during his last days in nursing care, but I had only been married to his grandson (Christopher Mervin Kosbab) for 5 months by the time of the funeral. Unforunately, I didn't get a chance to get to know Herman all that well. Herman's son, Neil Gustav Kosbab is my father-in-law. Neil was in the US military, and he shares an e-mail with his wife Linnea (kosbab@houndofheaven.com). Neil has at least 2 sisters I know of - June Frisk and Margaret Rhymeer, both in Washington State. Neil's brother in Long Beach, CA just passed away within the last week. Neil has several children - Mark Kosbab (WA), Susan Burke (WA), Anne Lynn Averill (WA), Laura Lynn Bergman (CA), Christopher Mervin (CA - my husband), and Nina Kosbab (CA). Some still live in WA, but we moved to CA so I could attend graduate school, which I am still doing (e.g., writing my dissertation now).

I wish I oculd help you locate your relatives. I am trying to find my husband's. I don't have a lot of money to join sites or buy software, so I have to stick with my local public library.
