You asked:
"What foundation did you build on?"
Just like everyone else, I believed I built my house on a firm foundation.
When the house came down, the pain was bad, but I was ok with it because by that time I had become a hard-core believer and I believed it was all God's work. I then set about to build my new house, but I tried to build it on my old foundation.
Then The Lord sent His demolition crew to jackhammer my old foundation into rubble. I fought Him every step of the way.
My core beliefs were embedded in that foundation - these were irrefutable truths and there was no way I was going to give them up. However, there was no stopping the demolition, and as I went through my own personal hell, the old foundation was eventually demolished.
The most difficult things I had to give up were my religious beliefs. I couldn't see it at the time, but as I reflect back, I see those those old religious beliefs as satan's srongholds, and I am so grateful to The Lord for setting me free.
Thanks for asking that question Louis - It brought out a testimony of how wonderful are the Works of GOd.
