Sadly, I had it ruined

as for all the years I was with my ex, she belittled anything I got her. It was never good enough, or she would criticise my choice of card, gift etc. So, I simply gave up and wouldn't do it. Now, my partner loves any little thing I do, which is so lovely. I have to get back into the habit of feeling confident with whatever I decide to get her. She just loves anything I do, so I don't need to feel the dread any more.

I got her a card (with nice words I read and thought were right) and a fluffy bear with a flower and heart, she loves it.
