We are not in deep trouble. We are in deep ignorance.

We think far too much of our planet and ourselves.

Our particular universe is about as interested in this planet as we are in a particular electron in our body.

This planet from which we evolved (were created) is not the center of the universe.

This planet has not been selected by a God upon which to set-up shop. If there is but one God, this God is God of ALL mind-boggling, endless infinity...not just planet Earth!

Is it the epitome of illusion born of ignorance to believe planet Earth, the insane asylym of Cosmos, is special in the eyes of this God?

This planet has not been exempted by divine edict from the activity of what science calls the "Intrinsically dynamic universe;" what the Hindus called the "Cosmic Dance of Shiva."

Cosmos, as can be seen, even as we speak, is involved in the constant, ongoing, never-ending process of birth, life, death, and reabsorption back into its space condition, of ALL ...YES, OURS TOO, objective (phenomenal, actually) condensations of itself. Astronomers can see as many as 100 NEW solar systems form every SECOND. No, that's not a typo, "Every SECOND."

This means that one day our solar system will have its Super Nova and our planet will become space AGAIN. BTW, I have been told that our solar system is so small that its explosion will be called a "Giant Dwarfism," not a Super Nova. We have a far, far too inflated opinion of ourselves.

This means nothing eternal can be established on this ephemeral electron in space. Our planet is but one stage of a divine idea which at its coming together will add to and become Cosmic Mind. Cosmic Mind works in a manner very similar to ours.

Remember the Luke 17:21 scripture prior to its being changed, "Don't look anywhere but within yourselves for the kingdom of God?"

The East puts the same thought in the following manner. "Man, know thyself, for in thyself is all there is to know."

Neither this planet nor its inhabitants are special. This planet, traveling through space at tremendous speeds, is not accompanied by a heaven or a hell which are traveling along with it. And what happens to heaven and hell following our Super Nova? Do they disappear also? It not, where do they go? What happens to those in heaven of hell, supposedly for eternity?

But insofar as the humanity of this temporary electron is concerned, the human race, the true Prodigal Son, is precisely where it should be on the spiritual path. The reason many are troubled is they see and hear as their religion tells them to.

They need to begin listening and seeing from their true selves. What true Self? The God to which Psalm 82.6 refers; the God to which Luke 17:21 (before it was changed to agree with orthodox Christian interpretation) makes reference; the God that we really are. Or has that annoying (to Churchanity) Psalm 82.6 scripture been changed also?

We will continue being troubled until we can come to believe what a Bible which hasn't had the truth changed from it, says; until we come to where we can choose scripture over our interpretation of scripture.

Until we have the eyes and ears to see and hear SPIRITUALLY, we will be met with the same problems as the author of that odd statement.
