for about 8 year i had relaxed hair. it was very painful and annoying to keep up with the treatments. i always wanted long flowing hair that is full of body, shin and movement but i had short, limp, dead, life less, hair. i dont know why. i tried to flat iron my hair tog et it perfectly straight, blow drying, all kinds of shampoos an conditioners. noting worked. is my hair too fine? what products should i use to get straight, sleek and moveable hair? whats a good flat iron or straightening too? I NEED HELP!!!

I was thinking about doing a wash & wear. i heard about it on another forum and there is a salon in Toronto called Jazma that performs this mirical. i really like my natural locks but i also want to be able to easily go to straight, sleek styles. im in calgary (all the way across the country) so i dont think i can take trips down to toronto just for a touchup but the salon offers a at home course and relaxer kit which i may opt for. has anyone tried the wash and wear. there is a simular system in the states called the silkener. if there are any alternatives to these expensive treatments then let me know but i want to try a lye relaxer. no lye is a no go for me. i tried them for 8 years and they just messed my hair up. i read that if you use a lye properly it leaves hair in a healthier, more manageable state. weither thats true or not im still going to give lye a try unless somone comes up with a good reason why not.
