Well.....the Colors are starting to peak and we are heading to Highland Recreation Area and the Haven Hill Nature area to get some of the best Colors S.E.Michigan has to offer. With such a tremedous variety of trees and plant life around Haven Hill, the colors there are spectacular. The hike will be kinda a two part Hike. The main Hike is about 4 miles of a visit to the old Lodge ruins at the top of Haven Hill, and then a twisting rolling hill trail down the south side. Near our final return trail to our starting point, the Group will have a choice on heading back to the parking area, or adding an additional 3 miles of trail time and Colors for the afternoon hike.
This is a Kid and Dog friendly hike, so everyone is welcome. A Park vehicle permit is required for entry into the Park. Do not miss this Hike. It will be some of the very best Colors in S.E.MI. Bring your Cameras!
