Otherwise, I'd be too overwhelmed and would have to crawl into a cave until at least Friday!
My house is BAD. Right now, the kitchen is the only (reasonably) clean room in the house. The carpet cleaner is coming this morning, so everything will get vacuumed and cleaned. I'm going to do the 5 minute thing plus one room each day. And, I'm going to cook one thing each day, starting with cranberry sauce today. Rolls on Wednesday, and if they are no good, I've still got the Rhodes frozen dough in reserve.
I hate it that things are this bad, especially since my fondest dream was to go into the holidays clean and organized. But, painting a house got in the way. Knowing me, SOMETHING would get in the way, but at least painting is an accomplishment.
I have LOTS of phone calls and paperwork to do today, too. This morning, I'm viewing my inability to go back to sleep as a gift, not a curse.
