on a regular basis, my back is pretty good. losing a bunch of weight has helped and I can no longer do some things like shovel the front patio. For a while, it was so sore I couldn't even lift a laundry basket.
The beginning exercises are very simple, make you feel like an idiot but do them consistently and slowly for the stability that you learn. then add exercises as you get stronger.
