Two years ago, we were in the middle of an arctic blast (about -5) when the wind came up. I had to wear a balaclava (not to mention long underwear, Squall parka, two pairs of wool socks, two pairs of gloves and a wool hat with ear flaps), just to take the dog out to pee. But our winds were just a gentle breeze compared to what you are having. I can't even imagine how it would feel to be outside in it. (The dog could pee on the floor). Stay safe!
It's 9 degrees here. It was 6 a couple of hours ago. How 'bout that--a warming trend, as they say in weatherese. Mercifully, no wind to speak of.
