That's the main marker they follow on her multiple myeloma. It has been zero since March (started out at 2,750). She has 9 more weeks of treatment. If it is still zero at that time and the bone marrow biopsy comes back OK, she can lay off the chemo for awhile until the m-protein starts going back up (which it eventually will). Yay!!! She will still have to go in for her monthly Zometa IV and blood tests, but that's nothing.
