You can stew any kind of dried fruit in water or oj, with some cinnamon or nutmeg added. My mil makes it with all kinds of fruit mixed together. When I had a lot of frozen blueberries to use up I made blueberry cobbler and also added them to peach and apple cobblers as well as the usual pancakes, muffins and cereal. We like to make a pumpkin pie filling out of canned pumpkin and bake it in ramekins instead of in a crust. We also like to serve canned fruit with pancakes or waffles as a topping instead of syrup. Sometimes when I do that I whiz it up in the food processor a bit, but not always.
