I found a whole wheat bread at Trader Joe's that I really like. Since the store is way out of the way for every day, I want to just go once every month or so and stock up. I've never had good luck freezing bread before (just throwing the bag in the freezer). Any suggestions on how to keep it from getting crystals and/or drying out?
Also, I saw on a cooking show that the chef keeps a ginger root in the freezer and pulls it out and grates off whatever she needs. Hers looked like it was already peeled. Any idea if you would need to do anything after peeling before freezing it?
