We removed her long distance plan awhile back. She can make a LD call if necessary like the old days, but it is 25 cents per minute. We didn;t block LD just in case OneSuite doens't work or you cna't hear well on it (happens more than you think!) and she has an emergency LD call to make.
She used to could use her Tracfone if OneSuite won't work, but she can't get a signal anymore at her house; neither do I when I'm there (we have the same phone). I need to see about getting her a C-model phone (goes through Verizon lines) and see if she can get a signal with that. Her current phone is a G-model which I think is either AT&T or TMobile. My sister lives across the street from ehr and has Verizon for her contract phone, so I would assume a C-model Tracfone should work. Since she ahs decided to go back to work part time, she HAS to have a cellphone that worsk.
