I had a medical check up in December with a new doctor that abruptly told me I have 35 lbs to lose. I also am developing issues with high blood pressure and know weight loss would make a difference.
Two weeks later I went to Florida to visit my 76 year old father. He's been vegan for 1.5 years, has lost 30 lbs. and looks terrific!
Now, I don't know about the veganism, but since then I've cut back on meat, desserts and have really thought about and tried to modify the fat in my diet. I've always exercised lightly, but now am trying to do more of it each day. I've lost 15lbs. since January 1st. Of course, these are the yo-yo 15lbs. that I keep losing and gaining, but I hope I can continue to lose more. Most important though is to be healthy, regardless of the weight.
