The British TV series, not the shoes! Season 5 or 6 is on public TV right now. I just ordered a used copy of seasons 1-4 on DVD.
The doctor is a highly-trained specialist from London who has developed a phobia about blood. So....he moved to this little Cornish village to be the GP and everyone insists on calling him Doc Martin...Martin is his first name. The show is kind of past his chagrin over this. He is a real oddball with lots of socialization issues. (Undiagnosed Asperger's Syndrome?). The scenery is to die for and the writing and acting are both superb!
