My kids are 2 and 4, so I feel like this is the time to not screw up when it comes to creating picky eaters. My kids are in daycare, so they get exposed to a lot of different food and they either eat it, or go hungry.
I make my kids at least try everything on their plate. If they truly don't like it, I'll let them have some cheese or something else to help fill them up. Most times, they like it once they try it. I don't want my kids to be those picky kids you guys describe.
