| However, you and your kids will be glad later! A guy I used to work for years ago told me that it's easier to create good habits when the kids are toddlers than when they are teenagers. My ds will eat pretty much anything except mushrooms and green pepper. He usually just picks them out of his food. Dd does not like Mexican food or corn. When we have tacos or burritos, she can make a sandwich or eat leftovers.
Ds never refused to eat as a toddler, but dd did. I can remember almost every night when she was 3 and 4 complaining how she didn't like the dinner. Many nights she just sat at the table with us with a glass of water. We didn't make a big deal out of it, but told her this is what we are having for dinner. If you don't want to eat, you don't have to, but this is family time. She is 11 now and likes a wide variety of foods. |
