Many people who died during the Depression have simple cement headstones, if their graves were marked at all. When DH's cousin made several trips to Minnesota and eventually located their grandparents' graves, he found that monument companies still make these stones. They are VERY inexpensive. Good to know if you ever need to mark a very old grave. Two of DH's aunts, on his mom's side of the family, died in the '20s and '30s and have stones like this.
