The house has the same wall and trim color everywhere. The bedrooms have the same fan. The flooring downstairs is all new wood because the old was in bad shape in several places and half the living room was just plywood because that part was an addition. The upstairs flooring and stairs were refinished. If you look at the dining room folder you'll see a giant hole in the wall where two joined waste pipes are both cracked. The big repair in the wall next to it is where they thought the pipe was going to be. Oops. In the folder labeled downstairs hall entrance you can see where the half bath will go. That won't be started for a few weeks.
The family room will be carpeted Friday. The kitchen countertop and basement windows (all broken) have been ordered and I'm really hoping the countertop is installed in the next week or so. We're still deciding on which furnace and a/c we want installed. The furnace costs too much to repair for a 25-30 yo furnace and the a/c is total crap. We estimated how much everything would cost before we made the offer on the house and all the work has come in at or below our estimates, but it still hurts to write all those checks! All in all though, I think it was a good value. A lot of moving stuff from here to there this week and next.
