I'm on the last leg of running down the freezer so we have been eating a few strange meals lately
Tonight we had eggs, spinach, sweetcorn, a few frozen chips from the bottom of the bag and some slices of french bread sprinkled with grated gruyere.
After this weekend I think there will be enough to fit everything into the little freezer and I can defrost the big one - and shovel out all the blackberries and peas that are in the bottom!

I thawed a whole small chicken yesterday and made chicken soup. I just skimmed the fat off after a day in the fridge and we'll have chicken noodle soup and chicken salad sandwiches.
I just realized there are 10-12 boxes of frozen turkey sausage links in the freezer. Ack! Dh must have found a great deal and they were hidden on a bottom shelf.
Turkey sausage links huh? fry it up with cabbage or saurkraut? Have turkey sausage with eggs, or in breakfast burritos?
dh loves Italian sausage, and we've got links, crumbles, and now a 5 pound chub in the freezer.
The only thing I know to do with it, is add it to pizza or spaghetti sauce, and since I'm not fond of it, I hate to do that. When I remember, I fry up a link, and put it on his plate with his spaghetti.
I'm open to suggestons on how to be rid of all ? 10 pounds probably!

I'm not fond of Italian sausage either. Would you like it mixed with hamburger and made into meatballs?
Since it's just ds and I here right now I can't do anything too exciting with our turkey sausage links or ds won't eat them. He does like them just plain for breakfast, so we'll use a few boxes that way. He might like a breakfast burrito though, I'll have to try that.

I don't have to cook Thursday nights. Tonight it's Shake'n'Bake chicken breasts, pasta salad, biscuits out of a can and some as-yet-undetermined veggie. A little starchy, but hey--it was her idea and I don't have to cook!
