but after working a couple years in the burn unit, I can imagine.

The good thing is the exit wound was near the entrance - when the entrance is on the hand, and the exit is on the foot, it's apparent that the burn has gone through the entire body, likely damaging the heart, liver, kidney's ... along the way. The body has a hard time dealing with that much bad tissue at once.

Even if your pup doesn't remember, the girls will help keep the cords out of his reach. I hope he's doing well now.
