We lost my brother-in-law Wednesday night.

This was my husband's sister's husband. He was 49. A few months ago, doctors ordered a colonoscopy for what he thought were hemorrhoids. Turned out to be colon cancer. He had his surgery, ended up with a colostomy bag, was going through chemo and was doing very well, actually. The surgeons and the oncologist were very upbeat about his prognosis. Wednesday night he complained of having some difficulty breathing, so he went up to lay down in bed. When my sister-in-law went up to check on him, he was gone. So sudden and even with cancer, so unexpected. Please pray for her and for the whole family. Everyone is taking it very hard. This was a favorite uncle for my kids. I couldn't do meals, so I sent a couple of restaurant gift cards yesterday. We'll all be traveling up this weekend, taking different "shifts" so that someone is here to take care of dogs and animals. Hard weekend ahead.

Blessings,

Bethann

49 is so young. Do they have children? Sending positive thoughts to your family.
