1/3 thru this month.... I'm ever so slowly getting over this cold... I have cash to go and buy teacher/bus driver gifts for end of the year. I'm thinking just $10 GCs... trying to figure out the most bang for the buck....

Other plans for today involve planting some rhubarb plants my grandma gave to me. Writing a thank you note and possibly hitting home depot for a new ceiling fan for my room.

Sunday!

June 10 2012, 7:44 AM

Dh is going to color and cut my hair today. I am so pleased. It is so long over due. I will probably either do laundry or clean the house whichever makes me less in the way while he works on his projects.

I am also going to make us some master mix and some oats convenience mix. I bought items for both of the things yesterday while at Costco and the Restaurant Supply Store.

We are having a problem with ants. Dh traced the source back to a neighbor's house and sprayed from there back to our house. I hope that they are gone for good now.

I bought a bottle of Boysenberry syrup yesterday at the restaurant supply store, so I had better get the batter ready to make pancakes, so we can try out the syrup.

I always feel better after a color...

June 10 2012, 2:21 PM

I am 80 percent gray and not 40 so color is a must for my. My sister colors my hair for me now and we have fun with it. I am not picky as long as the gray is covered and it is not too outrageous. Last week I cut myself bangs again on a whim and I am happy with them. I have a high forehead with wrinkles creeping in.

I haven't cut my hair in almost a year and recently have started a no shampoo regimen. I have very thick hair and so far so good.

hopefully very little

I've been working my butt off at the new house all week and I'm taking the day off. Dh wants to go grocery shopping but we always spend too much when he comes with me so I may volunteer to just do it by myself later in the week.

that didn't turn out how I planned!

June 10 2012, 4:03 PM

but I had a busy, productive day... I am feeling better, thankfully! Today was a bit of a spendy day... buying a new vacuum has been on my list for a while and I had saved up the money so today I finally went and did it. it was on sale for $269 at Sears. I also did laundry and dishes and we went out to a farm that makes their own ice cream and had a treat. While it was a $10 (total for 3 of us) splurge, it was fun and a beautiful ride on a beautiful day!

I did get those plants dug up that I needed to dig for my friend and I planted the rhubarb from Grandma today. I delivered the hosta and berry vines to my friend and then dropped DS2 off at my parents house so he could spend a day with them.

Last night we splurged too... it's been a tight month and I planned out some end of school type splurges including going to see Madagascar 3 and then burger king (off the dollar menu).
