It's my kids last day of school... It might actually end up being a stay at home day for me, but too soon to actually hope that! Seemes each time I think I am gonna have one of those days I end up having to run out for stuff.

I'm thawing some wings and cooking that for dinner tonight along with some chicken-rice and aosme kinf of veggie. Dessert will be strawberry short cake. I make the short cakes last night, yum!

I need to make myself start dealing with the piles of paper that have accumulated on the kitchen island.... It's really bad, everyone, including me, seems to jsut dump the stuff there that they don't know what to do with. As Flylady would say, "it's a hot spot"....

Wednesday

June 13 2012, 7:40 AM

The persistent rain of yesterday has ceased. I have my second of laundry in the washer to be hung up. I still haven't found my camera cord. I am going to stop looking for it so maybe then I will find it.

It is definitely a stay at home day. I have 4 little ones here right now and will be adding 2 more before the end of the day. Yesterday was a rough day. My after school child has started bullying my daughter on the walk home from school> This kid has multiple issues including ADHD, and Type 1 diabetes. He has also turned in to a chronic liar and had in school suspension last week. I have been working with his dad's girlfriend and she is at her wits end. She serves as the primary parent as both mom and dad try to be the "fun" parent and he had no consistency or discipline until the girlfriend entered the picture. I have stuck it out with this kid because I adore his half brother who is almost 1.

DS has a baseball game tonight. I Am still trying to track down his baseball shirt. I am making a quesadilla casserole and brocolli salad for dinner. We have been relying on hamburgers and hot dogs from the concession stand far too much.

We have another camping trip this weekend and I really need to work on a packing list and menu. The weather forecast looks to excellent which is especially welocme as we will be tent camping.

I'm taking it easy today.

June 13 2012, 8:17 AM

Yesterday after lunch I started feeling sick. I was out running errands with my mother-in-law, or I would have taken a nap. She invited me to a movie last night (the kids had VBS and dh was out of town), but I declined and was in bed for the night at 7:30. At the time, I was running a fever. I woke up today with a horrible headache, but my fever is gone.

I'm hoping if I lay low, whatever I may be coming down with will go away. I did promise dd a trip to the mall to buy some Bath & Body Works on sale. I told her it was not going to be a big mall trip - just that store and then home.

Good time for BBW - the semi-annual sale started in stores today!

I received a $10 off $40 email coupon. Do you need one? I can send it to you. I have a paper one, so I don't need it.

I had one and used it.

We spent $30 after coupon and got a ton of stuff! I only buy from there a few times a year, and this is one of them. I like thier handsoaps and they are $3 each now. I know it's still pricey, but it is a luxury I allow myself.

today's plans

June 13 2012, 8:36 AM

I volunteered at the libary this morning and that was nice and relaxing. I always enjoy that and missed it the last several weeks so it's nice to get back to it. That's something I did for me today.

I stopped at Home Depot on the way and picked up spray primer, hammered copper spray paint and a spray paint handle and after lunch I'm going to the house to remove all the kitchen hardware. That's all I may get done there today, but I can always paint tomorrow. I returned an extra nail puller we ended up not needing so it was only $6 out of pocket.

Last night we ended up having bits and pieces for dinner so the chicken breasts will be grilled tonight for dinner.

Good morning!

June 13 2012, 9:48 AM

After messing with my chickens a bit, I went up to the rv park and hoed more weeds and gathered more grass burrs. I think I may have the grass burrs somewhat under control! I also gathered up what trash I could find blown around. I'm hoping we can get an area in the middle tilled up and get some garden veggies started there for the residents. That all was 2 hrs of my morning. Then went and dug around at the old house for some summer clothes. Also found a radio for ds picup, since his went out. I just happened to have a new one that I never got around to putting in my honda. It's nice to shop at home and give someone something they need, that you don't!!

Also talked to ds today, they are wanting to have a yard sale and make enough to go to disney world with the grand! So since I have an abundance of junk, I told him if he sold it, he can have the money!! Of course I'll be there to help!

Well looks like the rest of my day will be going to ds house and setting up a pool for the grand!! Just so happened a friend gave me a little pool, that is just what they are looking for!! So I can take the car stereo along too!

You guys have a great day!!

Hubby built shelves in a closet for me yesterday

June 13 2012, 10:18 AM

I spent my evening cleaning up the mess he made but it will be worth it. Tonight's plan is to start moving things into that closet, which will free up quite a bit of space and cut down on clutter. I'm decluttering as I go, I have a huge box of stuff to drop off at a thrift store but I didn't think to stick it in my car this morning. I'll do that tonight and drop it off tomorrow.

He's also re-roofing the shed. Once that's finished several things will be stored in there, things he wants to keep but don't currently have a "home", therefore are seen by me as clutter.

Kind of a dumb day

June 13 2012, 2:03 PM

I met DS at 7 a.m., followed him to Spokane to drop off his car, and took him to work. I have to reverse the process in about an hour. In between, I slept for about 2 hours. We had a huge electrical storm last night, with lightning still this morning, and last night wasn't much for sleeping. I've also been doing some decluttering--or PUPA, depending on how you see it.

DD and I are going to the cabin tonight--DH is following Friday morning. He has a prothetist appointment Friday AM and he and DS plan to go see Prometheus Thursday night. Both DS's girlfriend and I declined to see it with them--I've suspected for some time that she is my kind of girl!

Thunder is rumbling....
