This old metal chair has aluminum arm rests, that I took off, I'm not sure what color I want to paint. I have another metal chair of a different style that I will be painting too. These will go out under a tree in the yard.
Trendy right now for that kind of furniture is white arms/legs and the body in a bright color. I've seen some great turquoise stuff! I cmae a cross one of the long gliders painted turquoise and white that I would luuuuvvv to have.
However, if you want a more classic look and aren't going to add any cushions, I would paint the arms/legs rither cream or brown and do the seat in a darker green, brick red or burgandy.
and which one do you want to look over and see every day under your tree...

while some of these colors sound really neat...I would opt for one more soothing. A color that when I look over at it the area makes me think awwwww yea... go take a break and relax:> Bright colors amp me up not so good for relaxation. Just some thoughts.... I do love that chair though... good thing we are not neighbors your might lose it lol...
