Not my ponies thank god, but my friends - I have just spent the day with my friend, doing everything I can to help. Can everyone please keep their ears/eyes open for these ponies, or any places where we could look for them - any information or suggestions gratefully received. This is the blurb from the stolen poster we've done:

Stolen from near Cheriton, Hampshire, believed to have gone between 6pm 16th October & 8am 17th October 2008. Two miniature Shetlands, one mare, one yearling filly, chestnut & white skewbalds. Much loved family ponies, owned & shown by 11 year old. Please keep your eyes open, heartbroken family & distraught daughter who just want their ponies back.

Contact with any information: Donna Brealey – 07799 791632 or 01962 771403.

Pictures are here: http://www.varkiesstud.co.uk/html/ponies.html

Please, anyone who can help, let us know. If you could put up a poster, please say, or any other help.

Ponies found!
Just a quick note to let everyone know that our girls have been returned to us!
Molly seems to be ok except overgrown feet and bit on the thin side but sadly Peaches has not faired so well. She is skin and bone and very very weak on her back end. She has NO muscle and little strength. Vet thinks she will be ok but it will just take time. She definitely won't be back in the show ring this year, if at all.
We got a call last night from a chap saying he had them and that he would return them to us today. He bought them from a sale a few weeks ago and has since found out they were stolen. He paid £600 for them so we offered to pay him that so that we could be sure we would get them back! It was worth every penny as Peaches needed to be back with us! So time now for them to have loads of TLC and some good food!!
Also would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone for their help and support through the last 4 months.
Oh wow how brilliant. What a relief! I've seen poster's everywhere with these 2 on, so glad they are now returned. Its been ages, about 3 months? Sorry to hear they are in poor condition. I bet your friends keeping them in the house locked up, guard dogs and security men! Les hope all the shetland's who were stolen are returned and have a happy ending just like these 2!
