28/29" Pure Black Miniature Colt Yearling Stolen Between 1pm and 5.30pm Saturday 21st March 2009, from a field in Dorset.
Fence cut and no-one saw anything, so no leads.
Has a shaven patch above and below his left eye where he had stitches a while back. Is microchipped as well.
Very friendly and would have happily walked off with anyone.

Magic was on loan locally from me, loaner left field at 1pm, to come back and find the fence cut, the big horse he was company too is quite upset but still in his field, we have searched high and low locally but no sign of anything.

Any news please call 07855 400294 any time of the day or night or the police quoting reference C-09-D-012355

I am so sorry to hear about your Shetland, it is awful. He is the cutest little thing. Have you put a thread on Horsegossip. When the coloured shetland went missing this is what we did and the response has been amazing. People going to sales and putting up posters. It is such a horrible thing to happen and my sympathy goes out to you. Lets hope these stolen ponies come home soon.

Hi
I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. It makes me sick to hear about people stealing horses/ponies. Can i ask what area of dorset he went missing from? I will get the girls up our fields to keep an ear out for any information or sightings.
Sarah

Copied from the Members Forum...

Well i have good news... MAGIC IS HOME!!!!!

Found with the usual suspects.... and police doing there job to get him back home safely to me. He is reletively unscaved by his ordeal.

We have been very lucky and thankful for all the media coverage we had for this special little therapy pony, a gentleman who heard his story on the radio spotted him in a traveller's camp and contacted the police (of course, the travellers know nothing about him!), after a few phone calls to me to get his microchip number it was confirmed it was my pony! I'm sure you can imagine my reaction on the phone when they said they had him... (fall on the floor in tears)

He is ok and me and my friend went up to get him, he didn't like the trailer (mostly likely from being shoved into vans!) and needs a bit of extra food as lost some weight but not hurt or distressed really and in fine spirits, me and him have had a good cuddle and i think he is as pleased to see me as i was to see him.

I am so grateful for all the help i've recieved in helping me find my baby and get him back home to me. And i think this is a brillant of example of how the microchips do help and do work... as there is no way i've of got him back (without having to pay...) without it!

Jodie
