The foal has been located!

This is a statement I have found from Brightwells

Contrary to all the amazing and totally unfounded comments on various websites the foal, lot number 615 Henfynyw Bailey, has been found and is on 21st October, being transported to its correct buyers home.

The foal had unfortunately been removed in error and (not stolen) as we tried to explain to many people during the afternoon and evening on the Sunday of the Cob Sale, we were sure that if given time we would be able to sort the matter out.

We at Brightwells vehemently deny the comments made against us in connection with our security and the capability of the Brightwells team on the ground to manage the entry and exit of cobs for the Sale.

We have, over many years, endeavoured to make our security watertight, but as any sensible sane person will realise there can always be unforeseen situations.

We have checked our records over the last 10 years for the Brightwells autumn cob sales where over 9,000 ponies have been handled and on only 2 occasions have ponies been mislaid. The second of these took place this weekend and I am glad to say both were resolved quickly.

To police a sale of this magnitude with the security it needs, as well as endeavouring to please the clients can be very difficult, but of course as always in this life of ours because of the adverse comments placed by a few, the majority will now have to suffer with more extensive pass out checks, less freedom and more time taken leaving the sales area.

The team at Brightwells responsible for the Welsh Pony and Cob business are extremely annoyed and upset at the unproven and incorrect allegations made by anonymous persons. We would like to make it quite clear that if any adverse publicity is directed at Brightwells of an unproven nature this will be dealt with in the strongest manner and if necessary legal action will be taken.
