No I've seen and done this quite a few times. Wilverley and Horseshoe bottom, also Setley Pond. I think the main thing would be to do a recce first, make sure there's room to load/unload/manoevre. I suspect a lot of those who do it, do it early before the dog walkers/holidaymakers are up and about to get in the way and block you in!
We go to Canada Common, Stoney Cross, and Burley once a month - just park up and go. It's best to do a rekki first so you can suss out the most accessible car parks - Stoney cross has some lovely big car parks

thanks for all the responses. Now all I need to do is find a decent horsebox <g>
