No Bake Granola Bars
2 1/2 cups crispy rice cereal
2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix rice crispies, oats and raisins in a large bowl. Cook corn syrup and brown sugar over medium heat until it comes to a boil. Remove from heat and add peanut butter and vanilla. Stir into the cereal mixture. Press into a 9 x 13 ungreased pan.
**My notes
I use a handful of mini chocolate chips and omit the raisins. It does melt the choc. chips some, but the taste is really good. I lightly spray the pan with Pam even though the recipe says an ungreased pan. These are really good and chewy. My kids love them.
