3 cups grain flakes (wheat, oat, rye, etc) You can mix it up here
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/4 cup EACH almonds, pumpkin seed, sunflower seed, flax seed, sesame seed.
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup dried cranberries, blueberries, cherries or what ever you like
1/4 cup or less honey, molasses, maple syrup or whatever you like
1/4 cup vegetable oil (or a bit less)
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup coconut, dried apple, appricots, or whatever
Mix honey, oil, vanilla. Mix together the grain flakes, wheat germ nuts and seeds.
Coat the dry ingredients with the honey/oil mixture.
Bake 300* for 30 minutes. Stir often to prevent burning.
When you take it out of the oven stir in the dried fruit and coconut.
This is a very forgiving recipe. You can mix and match and experiment with all kinds of stuff to see what you like.
