Leadership

by Remain Anonymous

I asked myself if I knew what leadership was.

I didnt know the exact definition, so i looked it up.

Before I give you the definition, I will say that I was shocked to find out that it wasnt about someone being appointed a leader.

There are many kids on the team that are leaders to me.

Just today I was running and was shutting down bit by bit and my team mate said "thats not way to give up, one more hill..." etcetc. He pushed me. He wasnt appointed team leader, but in the moment he took the role of Coach (another word for leader) and helped me.

My favorite definition of leadership from dictionary.reference.com/browse/leadership is

An Act or Instance of Leading

My teammate had a brief moment to just let me slide but didnt.

Thats my version of leadership.

The power a single person (whether appointed or not appointed) to lead bodies, hearts and minds to acheive victory.

Sure there are other qualities.

But when stuff goes down, one person that steps up is a leader.

Who knows, they might just become the next team leader.

I hope I wasnt running in circles with this piece.

Any questions feel free to contact me via this thread.

I'll post another article in a few days.

I already have a great idea.

Sincerely,
Someone

PS:I think someone once told me, "We all have inside ourselves a power capable of beating anyone. Unlock that power." Visualize something. Not something to make you mad or sad or your other guy or victory. Just something to make that switch to click in your mind. You'd be surprised what you can do.
