Paul Head lost his first match in the final round of 12 to Brody Goens of Chino Hills who placed 5th. It was a very narrow loss and Paul came back form a 3-1 deficit to lead 4-3 with seconds to go.
Paul finished 3-2 for the Championship and wrestled very well, beating champions from Ukiah-North Coast, Lemore-Central and Las Plumas-North sections. None of the other SD section 184# wrestlers placed either (unfortunately for the San Diego). Paul finished an amazing (and entertaining) senior season with 46 wins.
Ian Baker also wrestled great and lost 2 VERY close decisions. The first match, with the 6th ranked Clovis wrestler, was very close to OT but luck was not on Ian Baker's side in that match and he did not get the near fall call from the official (a few other calls that were easily seen by the LCC supporters in attendance but were missed by the refs).
