way to go Bryan!

by Carlson

Grubbs placed 1st at 125s! Wait ... 125s. Huh? Hopefully he's just not wanting to cut weight in the off-season because my dream lineup for LCC has him at 119's.

No matter, Bryan will dominate at any weight he's at.

2nd Annual Mini-Mavs Camp

by

The camp will be held June 30-July 4, 2008. My son attended last year as a 3rd grader and had a lot of fun. His wrestling game also improved quite a bit! There were several kids your son's age last year.

Coach Buth has put together a super group of counselors, many whom where there last year:

Tim Randall: Masters Champion
Bryan Grubbs: State Placer and Masters Champion
Nick Nelson: State Qualifier
Ben Alei: Masters Placer
Taylor Cox: CIF Placer

There is more info, including the sign-up forms on the Mini-Mavs website:

You the Man.

by Matt Monahan

Coach Buth,

Thank you for your kind note - more importantly, thank you for all of the wise and positive guidance you provided me during my wrestling and academic career.

You taught me to break up the monotony! You taught me to capitalize on frustration and disappointment. You taught me all of the things needed to compete at the top. Thank you!

Looking forward to a State Champion LCC Team very soon! Watch out for the fireman's, Poway!

To all the current LCC wrestlers :

Figure out what you want. Then don't give up until you get what you want.

best,

Matt Monahan

The longest winning streak in the history of American high school sports is the focus of the new ESPN Films documentary "The Streak" (Tuesday, 9 p.m. est, ESPN2). Produced by Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos in association with Jon Hock and Hock Films, the two-hour film chronicles the 2007-08 season of the Brandon High School (just outside Tampa, Fla.) wrestling program.
