      I don't think Johnny is playing "Sweeney" as a serious Jack Sparrow. I think he is a much smarter actor than that. Sweeney and Jack are complete opposites. Sparrow enjoys life and just wants to have the freedom to enjoy his life to the fullest. Sweeney Todd is dead--sure he has vital signs but everything dear to him has been taken away and he is moving through life in this black state of misery. That's not a serious Jack Sparrow, that's the antithesis of Sparrow. I know he doesn't get credit for it anymore, but there is more to Johnny Depp than Jack Sparrow.
