Because I saw TWBB a couple of nights ago and that performance is off the hookizzle! DDL did another disappearing act ( again ) and after awhile you are not watching DDL act, you are watching Daniel Plainview be. It's uncanny how this guy just becomes someone else with not even a tiny hint of his real self. I thought he was great in Gangs, but this is off the charts. You'll just have to see it for your self. I have seen 6 movies a month all year, and I can safely say, it's the best acting portrayal of the year I have witnessed. And I will not let the DDL performance influence my opinion on Johnny Depp as Sweeney Todd, as I don't have a personal affinity towards either one. All I know is Depp better be very good and on his A+ game is all I'm saying. |
