All I can say is the performance DDL puts in TWBB is staggering. It AFFECTS you. Long after I left the film I was still thinking about certian scenes. And he burns Daniel Plainview onto your brain whether you like it or not. It's like glue. It sticks with you in a almost uncomfortable way, and that rarely happens to me. The guy he so unlikeable, but charismatic at the same time. You also understand that by being the way it also made him highly successful which is sort of a dichotomy. Riveting. |
