      Johnny Depp is a great actor, we can all agree with that. However I highly doubt he will even get nominated for an oscar let alone win for Sweeny Todd. He may have the intensity of Sweeny Todd but he does not have the singing talents. And if you look at the history of the oscars, there is a tendancy to overlook those who are in musicals but either do not sing (Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady) or dont sing that well. Depp eventually will get an oscar but this is not the film or the right time for him.
