we don't know if blockbusters stand a chance yet, but maybe if The Dark Knight or Iron Man had been nominated, their studios would have campaigned the films diffrently-- like so many award-friendly movies do. And the whole idea that only the best pictures nominees with director nominations are valid -- is silly. There is always room for an upset, Crash ring any bells.
