| Glad to see Philip Baker Hall getting some serious buzz. I have loved his work for many years. I always thought he should have gotten a supporting nod for Magnolia. Bill Nighy is long overdue for some love. Glad to see a hardworking actor like Richard Kind thrown into the mix as well. |

I have read the Shutter Island script and Mark Ruffalo's role will hardly garner any recognition he is the sidekick whos just there for most of the film its not until the end he has any sort of real acting and even then he will just get owned by leos godliness. He is perfect for the role though. |

If any actor gets a supporting nod in Shutter Island it will be Ben Kingsley. The role as an evil doctor is a juicy one. |

Phillip Baker Hall was great in Hard Eight/Sidney. It was such a great performance worthy of an oscar nomination- and like the original poster said he was very good in Magnolia as well. | |
