I am really excited to see how this film turns out. As far as I know Mendes has never directed a comedy before. I really hope the film goes the way of sentimental comedy (think Juno, Little Miss Sunshine.) The film also has a hilarious cast of some of the best comedians working today (Allison Janney, Catherine O'Hara, Maya Rudolph, Cheryl Hines.) Hopefully this will be a dark horse contender for next year.

Ive got faith in sam mendes, but with everything coming out this year itll have to be pretty damn good to make the awards cut, wait nominated for best picture, nevermind.

For me it is very rare to see a "great" comedy so for that reason I am not a big fan of them but I think Mendes doing one could be very interesting.
