Just got back from a screening of Green Zone(got to meet Paul Greengrass) I think this could possibly have Oscar potential but it would not surprise me if it was completely overlooked. I thought it was a great film. It was a really great action packed thriller, with good performances all around and of course, Greengrass shaky cam. Any Q's ask away.

I was at that screening last night too, and had a very similar reaction to it as he did.
I also saw Public Enemies, and PE isn't even in the same ball park as Green Zone. Although it has many traits of films we have seen concerning similar subject matter in the past (The Kingdom, etc.), this film worked on almost every level.
Damon is great in it, turning in another wonderful performance from one of the most underrated actors working in Hollywood today.
The film's style, of course, is incredibly Greengrass (shaky cam, quick cutting, edgy feel). It works so well for this film, and truly keeps you on the edge of your seat.
I myself would give this a 10/10 (9.6/10). I gave Public Enemies an 8/10 (8.4/10).
Honestly, I don't think that this film has too much potential at the Oscars this year, except for in the categories of Editing, Sound Mixing, and Sound Editing.
Nonetheless, you should all definitely go and see this when it comes out (whenever it does), since it is an entertaining, intellectual thrill ride which acts as the perfect example of modern-day thrillers.

Yea, it is much better then Public Enemies 9.5/10 vs 8.5/10, I think it could potentially be nominated for Picture and such if it turns out to be a weak year, or if i just hits home with audiences because we finally have a "great" Iraq war movie.
