| When is the last time a movie has exceeded your expectations ? See, I wasn't super fond of the trailer, so I was going in thinking I might be disappointed.
First, this was the quickest 2 hour movie I have seen in a very long time. You are sucked in the first 5 minutes. The cast has great chemistry. Nothing felt strained or awkward. It's as smooth as melted butter. The visuals are some of the best ever. This should win best FX at the next Oscar's. Sound is amazing. Ditto Oscar for that as well. It's tightly edited but not choppy, and the cinematography is very impressive. Excellent movie going experience, and I wouldn't in the slighest be surprised if this is the top money earner for 09. |

I thought it was absolutely amazing and its pretty much sweeping all my Oscars at the moment, best film of the year so far in my opinion. |

Yes... Avatar will be in the mix. Maybe Star Trek and Avatar can split between Sound Mixing and Sound Editing. I also forgot that I thought the Production Design for Star Trek was very impressive as well. Editing and Cinematography are no slouches either. Just a impressive fun ride. Popcorn flick of the year ! | |
